Anthony Romeo Santos was born on July 21, 1981 in The Bronx, New York, United States. His passion for music began at a very young age when he participated in the local church choir and began to compose his own songs. He has always been a fan of bachata, even when it was not a popular genre.

He was born into a lower-class, working-class family in which his father was a bricklayer of Dominican origin and his mother was a housewife who came from Puerto Rico. He grew up with his sister and his memories were full of Latin culture. With a lot of effort he managed to get closer to the world of music and achieve his goals.

At the age of 14 he took his first steps by being part of a group called "Los Tinellers", with whom he released an album. Little by little he became better known in the environment until he became the composer and lead singer of the bachata group "Aventura", which he formed with two of his best friends. Together with them he managed to popularize this rhythm internationally, taking some of his songs to the top of the Latin and European charts.

The song 'Necio' by Romeo Santos, featuring legendary guitarist Santana, is a bachata ballad that explores the feelings of unrequited and forbidden love. The lyrics describe the internal struggle of a man who knows he is obsessed with a woman who already has a partner. Despite being aware that his love is unattainable, he describes himself as 'foolish', a word that in this context means stubborn or foolish, for not being able to control his emotions and desires towards her.

The protagonist of the song sees himself as someone who acts irrationally, driven by a 'little devil' who incites him to break the rules and desire what he cannot have. The metaphor of 'amazing love' that throws itself into the ocean because it is stubborn, reflects the depth and self-destruction of its passion, which leads it to 'sink' into its own despair and desire. The collaboration with Santana adds a dimension of depth and complexity to the song, with his signature guitar sound intensifying the emotion of the lyrics.

The song 'Indecent Proposal' by Romeo Santos, known as the King of Bachata, is an invitation to the game of seduction and adventure. From the beginning, the singer presents himself with confidence and directly addresses a woman, highlighting her beauty and suggesting an encounter that defies social conventions. The lyrics play with the idea of the forbidden and the tempting, using the metaphor of an 'adventure' that is more exciting if it 'smells of danger', suggesting that the risk and the possibility of transgressing norms add a spicy element to the proposal made by the singer.

Romeo Santos uses language that mixes politeness with daring insinuations, creating a contrast between superficial respect and the underlying intention to seduce. The 'indecent proposal' involves an intimate encounter in your car, where the rules focus on enjoying the moment. The song also plays with the idea of blaming alcohol for bold actions, reflecting a common excuse in flirting situations. Furthermore, the mention of dancing bachata and ending up in bed reinforces the characteristic sensuality of this musical genre, which Romeo Santos dominates and has popularized worldwide
